Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 26, 2026

Uncuff is designed to open supported public social media links in a reduced-distraction view. This Privacy Policy explains what information Uncuff handles and how it is used.

Information We Handle

When you submit a link, Uncuff sends that URL to our backend so it can determine whether the content is supported and generate the focused viewing experience.

If you choose to save posts, maintain recents, or submit an unsupported URL, that information may be stored so the app can provide those features.

If you use app blocking, your selected apps, categories, web domains, and temporary unblock timing may be stored locally on your device and in the app group shared with Uncuff extensions so blocking can continue outside the main app.

If you send feedback, the message and any contact information you choose to include may be stored so the Uncuff team can review it.

If subscriptions are enabled, purchase and entitlement status are handled through Apple's in-app purchase system and RevenueCat.

How We Use Information

We use submitted URLs and related metadata to resolve supported content, render focused viewer pages, support saved and recent items, and review unsupported URL submissions.

We may also use limited product analytics, such as link submitted, supported or unsupported resolution, focus view opened, open original tapped, and item saved.

Public Content Only

Uncuff is intended to display supported public content only. We do not market Uncuff as a way to bypass platform protections, and we do not scrape login-gated or private content.

Data Retention

Saved posts and recents may be stored locally on your device. Unsupported URL submissions that you send manually may be stored so they can be reviewed by the Uncuff team.

You can remove saved posts from inside the app. You can also change selected blocked apps from the app blocking settings.

Third-Party Services

Uncuff may rely on third-party services including Apple, Firebase, RevenueCat, Mixpanel, and supported platform embed or player systems. Those services may process information according to their own policies.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of Uncuff after an update means the revised policy will apply.

Contact

Questions about this Privacy Policy may be directed to the Uncuff team through the contact information provided with the app or service.
